Local Wonderz Artist Tate Nation Encourages Awareness with Art for Arthritis Program

One of our favorite Local Wonderz artists, Tate Nation, was featured in today’s Post & Courier for his Art for Arthritis Program here in Charleston. The project pairs children who have the disease with local artists to raise money for research. The artwork created by the artist and child pair will be on display during a reception and later auctioned off at D’Vine Affair, an annual food-and-wine event to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation.

Tate does so much for the Charleston community with his wonderful artwork and causes, and we’re proud to support his work and efforts any way we can. Stop by Wonder Works today to see the fantastic Tate Nation art and puzzle pieces we have in our stores! 

Wonder Works Receives National Distinction for our Week of Wonder Facebook promotion!

Christine in NYC for the REA Awards!

We are ecstatic to share that our “Week of Wonder” Facebook promotion we held last December was recently recognized as a Marketing Achievement Finalist at the 2011 Gifts & Decorative Accessories’ 60^thAnnual Retailer Excellence Awards! Our wonderfuntastical owner Christine Osborne flew to NYC for the honor.

For every new person who liked our Facebook page during December 1-7,2010, we donated a toy to MUSC Children’s Hospital Happy Wheels Cart, which provides a toy weekly to every child in the hospital. As a result, we were able to donate 7,000 toys to Happy Wheels!

Caroline Kennedy, Editor-in-Chief of Gifts & Decorative Accessories magazine, also said some very kind words that we deeply appreciate: “In these challenging times, it is difficult enough just managing, let alone growing your business.
