Wonder Works Owner Christine Osborne Shares “Social Responsibility” Thoughts with Porter Gaud Students
Wonder Works owner Christine Osborne stopped by Porter Gaud today to speak to 300 students about Social Responsibility. She had such a fantastic time meeting all the amazing students there! We hope they took away some valuable lessons about our Wonder Works friends who have made their own social impact, such as Keys for Hope, Harper Drolet, and Zach Bonner, founder of Little Red Wagon.
Supporting child entrepreneurs and philanthropists is a such an enormous part of Wonder Works, and we love spreading the word about how every child can do good in their community. No effort is too small!
Thanks so much to Porter Gaud and their students for being such a fantastic audience!
Wonder Works is so proud to support Keys for Hope!
We’re thrilled for Keys for Hope, which was featured in the Post & Courier today! The local charitable cause was started by two Mount Pleasant kids to benefit Crisis Ministries, which is building a new homeless shelter and soup kitchen in downtown Charleston. The motivated kids sell decorated keys “to symbolize shelter and hope” and are aiming to raise $1 million for the nonprofit.
Wonder Works, which has locations in Mount Pleasant, downtown and West Ashley, also carries [the keys].
“That really gave them a sense of ‘Wow! This is real. This is not just arts and crafts,’” Denaux said.
Wonder Works owner Christine Osborne often supports young entrepreneurs.
“This is a group of passionate, incredible kids who understand the value of a home, the value of community and the value of what they can do that can make a difference,” she said. “I see a lot of entrepreneurs and a lot of kids, teens and adults with ideas and these kids hit the nail on the head: For $5, you can help fund Crisis Ministries. It’s so easy to do that.”
Osborne said some customers bought as many as 10, planning to give them to friends. Real estate agents have also bought them in bulk for their homebuyers, Pilley said.
We’re so proud to be a part of their efforts as they strive to raise $1 million! You can purchase your keys at Wonder Works, or call us at 877-841-6757 to place an order!
